Scenic introduction:

The State of Jin was one of the important vassal states in the Zhou Dynasty. It originated in the Western Zhou Dynasty, flourished in the Spring and Autumn Period, and ended in the three branches of Han, Zhao and Wei. It was founded for more than 660 years and has experienced 38 monarchs. During the Spring and Autumn Period, it dominated the Central Plains for more than 150 years and created a brilliant Jin culture. Archaeological data show that Qu Village-Tianma area is the capital of Jin in the Western Zhou Dynasty. In the 1990 s, a joint archaeological team composed of the School of Archaeology, Culture and Museum of Peking University and the Institute of Archaeology of Shanxi Province discovered the Jinhou cemetery in the core area of the Qucun-Tianma site, thus opening a new page of Jin cultural archaeology in China. The archaeological excavation results of Jinhou cemetery were rated as one of the top ten new archaeological discoveries in China for two consecutive years in 1992 and 1993, and one of the "100 archaeological discoveries in China in the 20th century" in 2001.

The Jin State Museum, built on the Qucun-Tianma Site, is the first thematic site museum in Shanxi Province and the only platform in the country that can fully display Jin culture. It was officially opened to the public on National Day in 2014. The exhibition hall covers a total area of 8985 square meters and is divided into three major exhibition halls: the Jin State History and Culture Exhibition Hall, the Qu Village-Tianma Site Excavation History Exhibition Hall and the Jinhou Cemetery Site Exhibition Hall.
Taking Jin culture as the main line, the six hundred years of glorious history and three thousand years of cultural heritage of Jin State are condensed into Chen exhibition, and presented to today's audience by means of expression with the characteristics of the times, which is the focus of the exhibition design of Jin State Museum. Its basic display "Tang Feng Jin Yun-Jin Guo History and Culture and Jin Hou Cemetery Site Exhibition" won the 12th National Top Ten Exhibition Award.
The exhibition hall of Jin history and culture takes the history of Jin as a clue, and through a large number of precious cultural relics unearthed from the cemetery of Jin Hou, it shows a series of major events that can affect the historical process of ancient China, such as Shuyu Fengtang, Wen Hou Qin Wang, Wen Gong dominating, moving the capital to Xintian, and three branches of Jin.

The exhibition hall of excavation history shows the books of three generations of archaeologists, the process of exploring Jin trace and a series of major achievements made in archaeological excavation work.

The exhibition hall of the Jinhou Cemetery Site selected four representative groups of Jinhou and his wife's tombs and three carriage and horse pits for display, including the large-scale carriage and horse pits found in the Western Zhou Dynasty in my country. A panoramic picture of the tomb of the king of the state during the two weeks.

The Jin Museum is a large-scale site museum integrating the collection, protection, research and display of cultural relics. On the one hand, it adheres to the purpose of publicizing and promoting traditional culture, so that the public can better understand the history and culture of Jin and even the two-week period. On the other hand, it strives to arouse people's awareness of the protection of cultural heritage and large sites through exhibitions, and enhance national pride and cohesion.
