Call to Action for Appreciating Flowers in the Gardens of the Jin Capital
2025-03-31
Spring returns to the land, and blossoms bloom in profusion.
It’s that time of year again—prime flower-viewing season!
Strolling Among the Flowers
We embark on a journey with nature.
A Poetic Promise

Yet beauty is fleeting; civilization endures.
How can we keep this springtime romance forever in our hearts?
Jinyuan Scenic Area Initiative
Let us together safeguard the warmth of blossoming flowers.
Dear visitors:
The spring breeze is gentle and the air is crisp and clear—truly the perfect time to go out and enjoy the blossoms and soak in the fresh greenery. In Jin Garden, Gu Garden, and Jiang Garden, a dazzling array of flowering trees are in full bloom, basking in the breeze and at their peak viewing season, drawing large crowds of locals and tourists eager to stop by and snap photos. Yet uncivilized flower-viewing behaviors still occur from time to time—such as breaking off branches and trampling flower beds—marrying the beauty of the scenery. To better enjoy nature’s bounty, savor the spirit of spring, ensure the safety of visitors, and create a civilized, orderly, and clean environment for flower-viewing, we hereby issue the following appeal to residents and tourists alike:
1. Admire from afar—no touching: Keep your distance from the flowers, appreciating them with your eyes and capturing their beauty through your camera. Refrain from touching or breaking off branches, allowing the flowers to grow naturally.
2. Cherish the beauty of the scenery—no littering: Please dispose of trash in designated bins, refrain from littering, keep flower-viewing areas clean and tidy, and help preserve this beautiful environment.
3. Observe the rules and leave no trace: Follow the relevant regulations of scenic areas or parks; do not climb over fences; refrain from picking flowers, taking photos, or vandalizing property in restricted areas; and help maintain public order.
4. Enjoy the flowers in an orderly manner—no crowding or pushing, no roughhousing; take good care of the elderly and children; abide by on-site rules; travel responsibly and courteously to prevent accidents. At the same time, parents should lead by example, guiding their children to appreciate the flowers in a civilized way, so that respect for nature takes root in the next generation.
5. Never overlook fire safety. When visiting the park, do not bring any sources of ignition or flammable and explosive materials into the scenic area; refrain from unauthorized use of fire; and strictly prohibit such dangerous behaviors as carelessly discarding cigarette butts and grilling or having outdoor picnics in landscaped areas.
Let us start with ourselves: let each of us strive to be a guardian of the flowers, appreciate them in a civilized manner, leave behind beautiful scenery, take home cherished memories, and together create a civilized and harmonious atmosphere for flower-viewing.

Skillfully exploit the offset: keep a distance from the flower branches and use light and shadow to capture poetic, cinematic shots.
Crouch to Compose: Squat down for a photo with the falling blossoms—no need to pick or break them to capture their exquisite beauty.
Wide-angle empty space: Capturing the sea of flowers and the crowds in the same frame, preserving the heartwarming moments of civilized flower-viewing.
Each flower is a love letter to spring.
Every pause should serve as a footnote to civilization.
Please forward this initiative to encourage more people to join the movement of enjoying flowers in a civilized manner.
