A Full Moon in the Capital of Jin—Celebrating Family and Country Together—Jinyuan Scenic Area Invites You to a Golden Autumn Gathering!
2025-09-28
In the golden autumn of October, what is the most beautiful coincidence?
It is the Mid-Autumn Moon meeting the glorious anniversary of our motherland!
When the warmth of reunion embraces the glory of a prosperous era,
We then have this 8-day-long
“Super Golden Week.”
Celebrating both family and country,
It is the most exquisite, “top-of-the-line” sense of ceremony in this very moment.
How can we live up to this rare encounter?
Jindu Gardens take the bright moon as an invitation and history as a grand scroll.
We invite you to join us for an autumn rendezvous under the full moon, when hearts and homes are reunited.
“Remember well the finest sights of the year—when oranges are golden and tangerines lush green.” With the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival just around the corner, the gardens of Jindu are awash with fluttering red flags, their autumn scenery as picturesque as a painting. Strolling through the garden, the fragrance of chrysanthemums mingles with a festive cheer; every pavilion and every painting becomes a picturesque scene, and every blade of grass and every tree seems to hold a tender emotion. The timeless charm of traditional Chinese gardens and the joyful atmosphere of the holiday season illuminate one another, fully showcasing the golden autumn allure of Quwo, this ancient county.
On this joyous occasion of national and familial celebration, there’s no better time to stroll through the gardens. This holiday, we warmly invite you to Jin Du Garden to admire the autumn chrysanthemums, enjoy a delightful garden tour, and create unforgettable memories of reunion amidst an enchanting atmosphere steeped in traditional charm.
Step into Jin Garden, where the splendor of the ancient capital meets the brilliance of the present, and the threads of time intertwine to encompass the long and illustrious history of the State of Jin in Quwo. More than two thousand years ago, Duke Wen of Jin, who once dominated the Central Plains, inaugurated here a glorious hegemonic era that would last for a century and a half, thereby securing for the State of Jin the historic reputation: “Among all the states under Heaven, none could rival it!”
Duke Wen of Jin, surnamed Ji and given name Chong’er, was one of the nine sons of Duke Xian of Jin. A renowned statesman of the Spring and Autumn period, he was the 22nd ruler of the State of Jin. Although born a prince, Duke Wen lived in a time of turmoil; endowed with keen intelligence and a love of learning, he cultivated close ties with scholars and other worthy men, ultimately returning to Jin to assume the throne. During his reign, he undertook sweeping reforms and revitalized governance and education, swiftly bringing about a situation in which “the government was well-ordered, the people were prosperous, and the state’s resources were ample.” He forged alliances with Qin and Qi, launched campaigns against Cao and Wei, rescued Song and supported Zheng, and rendered loyal service to the royal house while quelling internal unrest, thereby rapidly transforming Jin into a major political and military power. Following the Battle of Chengpu, Duke Wen emerged as the second hegemon of the Central Plains, succeeding Duke Huan of Qi.
A deep sense of devotion to one’s family and country is rooted in the sedimentation of history. During the Double Festival holiday, our scenic-area docents will guide you on a journey through the ages, using idioms as vessels to trace the threads of history. At the Duke Wen Exhibition Hall, we will explore the rise to hegemony of Duke Wen of Jin, Chong’er, and delve into the stories of his years in exile and subsequent restoration of his state, as well as his tireless efforts to strengthen governance and pursue long-term prosperity. Through these narratives, you will personally experience the profound meaning of “when Heaven is about to bestow a great responsibility upon a person,” and draw from history its wisdom and essence.
